The Hanz Virus is also known as the H3N2v is non-human influenza that normally disseminates in pigs. In recent times this deadly virus has started spreading drastically among humans.
The Ghana Health Service has issued an alert about the outbreak of the Hanz virus in the country.
According to research, this virus is contracted more easily by humans from pigs than swine flu and this virus easily mutates. Although adults humans have stronger immunity than adults their lives are however endangered when contracted.
A letter dated 21st May 2022 addressed to the Ghana Football Association ( GFA ) shows that a player from the Accra Hearts of Oak has contracted this deadly virus and he might not be the only victim the letter added.
As a result, the GHS has advised the GFA to suspend all matches involving the Accra Hearts of Oak for the next seven days.
The GHS emphasized that all footballers and staff of the sporting club who are showing symptoms should be strictly isolated.

- Body aches
Contracting Hanz Virus exposes one to many diseases such as pneumonia, which could lead to hospitalization and the worst case cause premature death.
