Popular Ghanaian musician Livingstone Etse Satekla, known in showbiz as Stonebwoy has intimated that Ghanaians turn to enjoy and appreciate commercial and circular songs more than songs that talk about critical issues in the country.
Speaking in a recent interview on Peace FM, with Kwame Sefa Kayi, Stonebwoy lamented that mostly, Ghanaians relate to commercial songs when they are being released but when musicians release songs that talk about critical issues facing the country, they only relate to a certain class of people.
While talking about his new song ‘Greedy Men”, Stonebwoy lamented that there are a lot of communities suffering from deteriorating conditions as a result of illegal mining, thus his song aims at educating the masses on the implications of such practices in the country.
However, he urged Ghanaians to pay attention to songs that carry vital messages in order to put a stop to some illegal practices that destroy our natural resources.
