Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has asked Ex President John Dramani Mahama to submit evidence of claims that over one million ballots were stuffed into boxes across the country during the December 7, 2020 elections.
The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Mahama in the 2020 elections, made “untrue” assertions, according to the Commission.
At a news conference on October 25th, the Deputy Commissioner in Charge of Corporate Services, Dr. Eric Bossman Asare, warned journalists, “This is a significant concern that threatens the confidence of our election process and should not be disregarded.”
“We demand that [John Dramani Mahama] produce evidence to back up this assertion,” he said.
“This is not a problem to be overlooked, and we urge the Ghana Police Service to conduct an investigation.” He added.
