A Chartered accountant and entrepreneur, Mr Frederick Acquah has added his voice to the multitude regarding the significance of digitalization.
According to him, digitalization plays a key role in the creation of sustainable jobs for the youth.
In an interview on our evening news analysis show, Behind The Headlines, he reiterated the necessity of migration of all businesses online in the wake of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“ The digital ecosystem has thrown up a lot of opportunities for people to be creative in their thinking and explore their talents using the power of the internet to make money from selling products and services to the members of their social class,”
Further speaking, Mr Acquah who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of EasyTravel Consult, called on policymakers within the educational sector to develop curricula that include training in entrepreneurship and creative skills. The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has touted the achievements it had made in its digitalization agenda.
Interventions such as mobile money interoperability,. Digital renewal of National Health Insurance, implementation of the digital address system several government services, including the ports, NHIA, application of passports and drivers licences, registration of businesses, among others have significantly improved the economic and social lives of Ghanaians according to the party.
The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who has spearheaded the government’s digitalization drive. Has often spoken of the positive impact digitization will play on the Ghanaian economy.
