The socialite and media celebrity, Afia Schwarzenegger, has slammed Hiplife musician Coded of the defunct 4X4 trio for dwelling on her father’s death to make a hit song.
According to her, the Coded single, ‘Dada damoase’ was released the same time she was preparing for the burial of her late father.
It is recalled that Afia Schwarzenegger had constantly used the phrase which is translated as “Dada thanks you” whenever she received kind gestures from friends and sympathizers.
Evidently, about 10 videos on her Instagram page have the phrase featuring gradually making it a rave.
During that same period, Coded released an Amapiano song with its title bearing the same phrase.
In a recent radio discussion between Abeiku Santana and Coded, Afia Schwarzenegger was called to express her take on the song but to the utmost surprise of listeners, she accused the singer of mockery.
She rained insults on Coded. “I don’t know any foolish guy called Coded. I know wise people but I don’t know any foolish guy called. I don’t know anyone who wants to ride on anything called Coded. So, don’t call me and ask me about foolish people or foolish things.
“He thinks he has created that thing called a song. You are the ones who give people the platform to misbehave anyhow. I don’t need any apology. I answered the call out of the respect I have for you.”
Coded who had stayed calm the entire period described Afia Schwar as a comedienne indicating that the song in no way a mockery to her late father.
“I don’t know why she is this way because when you go on her page on social media, you can tell that she is an award- comedienne. Everybody can attest to the fact that the word she used and I repeated it in my song wasn’t a mockery to her father because that is very personal.
“If she is going on this way, I will respect her decision. I’ve known her for a very long time and she has been very supportive of our work. If she feels offended in any way, I want to use this medium to apologize to her,” he stated.
